Q: How is Queens Guitar School different from New York City Guitar School?
A: NYC Guitar School has over 1000 students, 30 teachers and 13 classrooms. Queens Guitar School is our newest and smallest location--but we have the same great classes, committment to service and spectacular teachers that have made our Manhattan and Brooklyn locations so successful!
Q: Where will my lessons be located?
A: Private lessons are available at our studio at 32-18 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Astoria, NY 11106, just two blocks from the N/W Broadway stop.
Q: How do private lessons work?
A: The first step is to set up a trial lesson. Call or e-mail our friendly staff (at 718-626-8121 or Info@QueensGuitarSchool.com). We'll ask you about your experience and interests and suggest one of our expert teachers for a single, no-obligation trial lesson.
Q: How much is tuition?
A:You can try a lesson at the discounted rate of $50 (or $40 for a 30 minute lesson) After the trial you can continue with individual lessons at $60 per lesson (or $50 for a 30 minute lesson). However most of our students take advantage of our discounted block rates.
Q:How do the pre-pay discounts work?
A:Pre-pay for five lessons at a time and receive a ten percent discount. Purchase a set of 10 lessons and receive a twenty-five percent discount.
45 MINUTE LESSONS
Individual Rate for one pre-paid lesson=$60.
Save 10%: Discount block rate for five lessons=$275 ($54 per lesson)
Save 10%: Discount block rate for ten lessons=$485 ($48.50 per lesson)
30 MINUTE LESSONS
Individual Rate for one pre-paid lesson=$50.
Save 10%: Discount block rate for five lessons=$225 ($45 per lesson)
Save 10%: Discount block rate for ten lessons=$385 ($38.50 per lesson)
Q:What if I need to miss a lesson?
A: No problem! We are used to working with busy New York City adults. Just give us two days notice and you can reschedule your lesson.
Q: What if I'm a complete beginner?
A: Don't worry! Our teachers are patient and supportive, and we have a top notch curriculum to help beginners gently achieve confidence and competence.
Q: Do I need to bring my guitar to the school?
A: You are welcome to bring your guitar, but you do not need to. Guitars are available for the use of students during the lessons.
Q: Can I take lessons with a friend?
A: Yes! Experience extra motivation and fun by learning together with a
friend for only an extra $9 per lesson.
Q: What if I don't have a guitar?
A: We supply guitars at the school, but if you'd like to bring one home with you, economical guitar rentals are available for just $19 per month for acoustic guitars.
Q: Do you have gift certificates?
A: Yes! Attractive gift certificates are available for any number of lessons.
